It’s back! The new vintage of Vinaccia di Nittardi 2024.

Vinaccia di Nittardi is distilled through gentle manual pressing of the freshly pressed pomace from Sangiovese grapes grown at Fattoria Nittardi. The juicy pomace for our grappa is transported the very same day to the Pilzer distillery, a small family-run business in Faver in the Zimmerstal valley near Trento, where it is immediately distilled fresh to approximately 70% alcohol by volume. Since 1957, the Pilzer family has been using the “Tullio Zadra” distillation method, a process named after its inventor that is based on the water bath method with a discontinuous distillation process. To achieve the desired alcohol content of 42%, Pilzer adds pure, distilled water from the Zimmerstal valley. Before bottling, the grappa is filtered at minus 8°C and then bottled in 0.70-liter bottles.
