Dear friends of Nittardi,
we are very happy to announce that for the first time in our history we released a Chianti Classico Gran Selezione.
The Gran Selezione “NITTARDI” 2020 is an evolution of our previous existing Riserva. While the Riserva always had a small percentage of Merlot to round up the Sangiovese, after years of research and experiments our Gran Selezione is 100% Sangiovese. After the fermentation the wine aged for two years in 500 liter oak barrels (80% French and 20% Austrian oak) and 6 month in concrete. Before releasing the wine we kept it for one year in the bottle.
