Giuliano Ghelli was a talented and poetic painter. He lived in the Chianti-region near Florence. As a self-taught artist, he was fascinated by symbols, memories, and the colors of the Tuscan landscape. His works are characterized by lightness and the search for light, combined with a deeper meaning. In them, Ghelli explores the boundaries between dream and reality, which often reveal themselves in a silent dialogue with the artwork.
Il sogno di Ulisse (The Dream of Ulysses) is a colorful and imaginative metaphor for life itself. Like Ulysses, we find ourselves on a long journey, marked by the search for knowledge and the longing for the one harbor where we will be welcomed in peace and security.
